Renee Robinson is the Film Commissioner of Jamaica, and a multi-lingual creative economy strategist and thought-leader. She has worked in Canada, Europe, USA, Africa, and the Caribbean – in film/TV, digital, arts and culture, entertainment, and communications. With almost 20 years in the industry, she has held executive roles at prestigious institutions like the the Harbourfront Centre, Women in Film & Television, the Canada Media Fund, the Toronto International Film Festival, and since 2016 at JAMPRO. She has a MA in Communications and Cultural Policy and MBA in Arts Management from York University, and a BA in Art Studio and Art History from Williams College. Renee has travelled to over 40 countries, and is an advanced scuba diver, an amateur sommelier, and a yogi.
