Janet Balmforth has 25 years’ experience as a communications consultant for the UK and international television industry working together with her business partner Aimée Norman. Janet started out in as a TV and film trade journalist before moving into public relations. She and Aimée set up B2B communications consultancy Blueprint Public Relations in 2004, later joining forces with DDA PR as part of The DDA Group.
With expertise across all genres, but extensive experience in the animation and children’s television sector, Janet and Aimee have unrivalled knowledge and contacts within the television production and distribution and broadcast communities and across international trade media. They have a respected and successful track record in working with producers, distributors, financiers, IP owners and creators, licensors and broadcasters advising on PR strategy at senior level as well as creating and implementing effective short and long-term B2B publicity campaigns.
