The KingstOOn Emerging Animated Content Competition

What is it?

The KingstOOn Emerging Animated Content Competition is focused on unearthing new talent and displaying excellence within Caribbean practitioners. The KEACC will bring to the fore fresh new ideas from the rich, multicultural storytelling space of the Caribbean. From “soucouyant” to “le loupgarou”; from the distant past, to the unfathomable future – in the KEACC, only your mind is the limit!

Want to compete?

There are four (4) categories you may compete in:

  1. Storyboard: This category will give recognition to the ability to interpret a written piece and communicate the same visually in exciting ways that direct the production of animated content
  2. Character Design: Here we are focused on capturing the essence of a fictitious individual within a fictitious world. How would this individual look? Dress? Stand? This category focuses on how well the artist can bring fiction to life.
  3. Caribbean Short Film: We recognize and appreciate that stories are told in a myriad of ways. The Caribbean Short Film category explores the skill with which teams (or individuals) are able to draw the audience into their worlds, create connections with their characters and ultimately transform their story into a compelling experience.
  4. Concept: This category is for those pieces of work that are not quite finished, but that hold the potential to be great stories or elements therein.
